FCC gets five new ways to crack open bank secrecy
The Financial Crimes Commission is about to get five new powers that let it walk past banking secrecy. Under measures tucked into the budget, a customer's financial records could be used as evidence in court without a single bank employee having to take the stand.
For investigators chasing dirty money, that removes a familiar roadblock, for bankers it quietly redraws the line on what stays private. Records that once needed a live witness to reach a courtroom can now speak for themselves, and the watchdog will not have to ask a manager's permission first.

Petit-Raffray killing: CCTV shows the suspect police still seek
